Deadline for SKUSA SuperNationals XVI Hotel Rooms Coming This Friday
Wednesday, 10 October 2012 13:24
Just over a month remains before 500 drivers from around the world converge on Las Vegas for the running of the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XVI on November 14-18. The Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino will be buzzing with excitement throughout the week, with a large percentage of the facility’s patrons wearing karting gear. To ensure drivers, teams, family and friends enjoy their time at the SKUSA Pro Tour finale event, the Rio and Superkarts! USA are confirming just a few days are left before the special pricing on hotel rooms expires.

“The Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino has been a great partner for the last five years,” commented Superkarts! USA CEO Tom Kutscher. “Year after year, our racers enjoy themselves both on and off the track, thanks in part to our entire staff and the facilities here at the Rio. You can’t ask for any better rooms and amenities in Las Vegas at the discounted price we offer. With plenty of diverse restaurants and entertainment within the facility, you never have to leave the grounds.”

Superkarts! USA Opens TaG Senior to 120 Entries for SuperNationals XVI
Monday, 01 October 2012 09:08
A record-breaking 528 entries coming from well over 500 drivers highlighted last November’s running of the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XV, which was held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. This year’s event is just 44 days away, and the 16th running of the world’s largest karting event is set to once again break the entry records when the track goes hot on November 14. A total of nine categories will be offered during the five-day event, and before now the class maximums were set at either 40 or 80 drivers. Due to incredible interest in the race, TaG Senior will now break through this pre-set limit – as SKUSA has elected to open up the category to welcome up to 120 drivers for the 2012 event.

Each and every year since the TaG Senior class was first offered back in 2004, it’s been one of the most attended categories of the SuperNationals. In 2008, Superkarts! USA opened the class to 100 drivers in its return to the Rio parking lot. Now for 2012, the class has been extended to a record-breaking 120 spots, which will very likely be filled as the waiting list for the category is extensive. With the larger number of entries, the class will be split into three groups for practice and qualifying. Each driver will still have three heat races to contest to qualify for the A Main on SuperSunday, with the entire field being split into six different groups. The top 34 drivers following the heat races will transfer directly into the A Main. Drivers ranked 35th-69th after the heat races will transfer into the B Main, and the remaining drivers will be slotted into a C Main. The top six finishers from the C Main will move into the B Main, where once again the top six drivers will earn a position in the Main Event on SuperSunday. Should any of the ProKart Challenge regional champions or the top three in the SKUSA Pro Tour standings not qualify for the main event, they will have a guaranteed starting position at the tail of the field.

Supernats Reserved Drivers -- Your deadline to register thru the priority pre-entry program has officially passed! Supernats Wait Listers -- Stand By! We are working you in NOW!
Tuesday, 04 September 2012 11:28
As the August 31st deadline for all reserved drivers to take advantage of our priority pre-entry program has come and gone, we will now begin to coordinate directly with wait-listers in each of the SOLD OUT classes (S2, S4, TaG Junior, TaG Senior and TaG Master) to register them into the opened spots – one by one – and IN ORDER OF THE OFFICIAL SKUSA WAIT LIST. All wait-listers are date and time stamped as to when they sent their request to be put on the wait list and this is how they will get in, as our most recent press release has explained. If you are on this wait list, PLEASE STAND BY and wait to be contacted by our office staff. It will happen as soon as possible, and extra emails and phone calls to check on your spot on the wait list will only delay this process. There are more than 200 drivers on the wait lists at this time. Please be patient, and watch your email! Please do not try to register online without the official signal from SKUSA to do so. Anyone trying to register ahead of their spot on the wait list will be VOIDED from the system and moved to the back of the line.

Anyone wanting to register in the classes of KZ2, S1, S5 and TaG Cadet can do so now when ready. These classes are still open and below their class caps at this time.

SKUSA SuperNationals XVI Priority Pre-Entry Deadline is This Friday, August 31
Wednesday, 29 August 2012 09:14
At the beginning of the 2012 racing season, Superkarts! USA officials took a stand in supporting their dedicated customers. The organization elected to provide their racers with the lucrative opportunity of being guaranteed a spot in the annual SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas through their new ‘Priority Pre-Entry Program’. Wait lists for the race have grown in length over the last couple of years, and the chance to reserve an entry in the country’s biggest event has become invaluable. Any competitor who raced in this year’s SKUSA Pro Tour SpringNationals, pre-entered for the SummerNationals by July 1, or drove in ANY ProKart Challenge regional event by the June 30-July 1 weekend was provided with a reserved spot on the entry list until August 31. They simply had to register by the end of August. This window of opportunity will close on Friday, August 31 at MIDNIGHT. After that time, all drivers who have not yet entered will then lose their reserved spot – and for most, that means moving to the end of the waiting list for their class if they wish to race in Las Vegas. Simply put, the time is NOW to take advantage of your reserved entry opportunity.

“Last year, we watched a few of our core customers miss out on running in the SuperNationals when the mad rush for pre-entries began. The second we opened registration, other competitors began gobbling up the available grid spots,” offered Tom Kutscher, SKUSA President. “A couple of classes were sold out in a couple of weeks and this caught some of our regular racers off-guard. This year, we wanted to make sure that we took care of the racers who support us month-in and month-out, and our Priority Pre-Entry Program was put into place. We’re going to evolve it a little for 2013, but right now, we urge all of our regular drivers to get their entries in now if they plan to run. Otherwise, they’re going to be out of luck. On September 1, all of the remaining reserved positions will be put back into the inventory and we’re going to start working our way down the waiting list in the applicable classes, getting those drivers officially entered in the race who have been waiting and hoping for a spot. In a handful of classes, we’re still going to be turning people away with our cap of 80 competitors. This year’s race is going to be incredible!”
