Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XVII Priority Pre-Entry Program Announced
Thursday, 13 June 2013 09:13
Without a doubt, the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals in Las Vegas is the biggest sprint karting event in the world. This coming November, with the exciting addition of the Rotax Junior and DD2 categories, race attendance is expected to top the 575-driver mark. With each class size restricted to a pre-set maximum of either 40 or 80 spots, simply gaining entry into the event will be a competitor’s first victory. SKUSA is once again taking steps to ensure that its core customers will get the first chance to enter through their Priority Pre-Entry Program. Drivers who run in all of their ProKart Challenge races up to July 1, or who raced in the Pro Tour’s SpringNationals and are pre-entered in the SummerNationals by July 1, will be provided with special access to enter ahead of the official opening of SuperNationals registration on August 1.

“We’ve designed our SuperNationals Priority Pre-Entry process to be very straight-forward, but we’re still going to do our best to detail the procedure for our drivers so that they’ll be able to successfully take advantage of it,” offered Tom Kutscher, Superkart! USA President. “There are simple steps for our racers to take to make sure that they’ll be part of this year’s SuperNationals, because when we open registration to the public on August 1st, we’re expecting a flood of entries. It’s going to be a huge event this year – especially with the addition of the Rotax classes to commemorate the running of the Rotax Grand Finals in America – AND the free transfer spots for the winners to the 2014 Rotax Grand Finals. Needless to say, all available spots are going to go quickly.”

Superkarts! USA Explodes SuperNationals Prize Money
Friday, 15 March 2013 11:29
Over the past three years, Superkarts! USA has been working diligently to develop its program of regional and national level racing, with much success. Thanks to a focused class structure and a dedication to customer service – and with the annual SuperNationals as its anchor event – SKUSA has opened up new regions around the country. It’s a business model that they can duplicate in any program and in any region.

One of the keys to this growth has been a tight focus on the Stock Moto and TaG programs, which have been growing steadily around the country. The top tiers of both categories have now come of age, and the time is right to make a move to reward SKUSA customers for their dedication and support. This reward will come in the form of a vastly increased purse for the S1 and TaG Senior categories at the SuperNationals XVII this November, where the winner of each main event could walk away with a check for $10,000. The cash purse alone for the 2013 SKUSA SuperNationals will be a whopping $45,000.

“There’s no doubt that I love the KZ2 class and the raw competition that it brings to the SuperNationals, but I am the biggest fan of our core headline classes, the men and women who bring us excitement at every Pro Tour and ProKart Challenge event of the season,” admits Tom Kutscher, Superkarts! USA President. “It’s time to give them their due at the SuperNationals, and we’re going to do that by putting up the same winner’s check in 2013 for S1 and TaG as we do for the KZ2 guys. It’s time….we’re putting up $10,000 to win in S1 and TaG Senior for drivers who run the entire Pro Tour with us this year! I want this to bring out all the big guns.”

The three headline classes at this year’s SuperNationals – KZ2, S1 and TaG Senior – will all run for respective $15,000 purses. In the S1 and TaG Senior classes, the winner must have run both the SpringNationals and the SummerNationals to be eligible for the $10,000 first place check at the SuperNationals. The purse distribution for the 3 classes will feature $10,000-to-win (or $3000-to-win in S1 or TaG Senior if the winner did not compete in the full Pro Tour), $2500 for second, $1250 for third, $750 for fourth and $500 for fifth.

Superkarts! USA to Add Rotax Junior and DD2 Categories to SuperNationals XVII
Monday, 04 March 2013 14:18
The 2013 season is going to be a big year for the sport of karting in the United States. The month of November will be a celebration of sport, for certain, as two of the worlds largest and most prestigious events are set to take place on US soil over a span of three weekends. The Rotax Grand Finals will make their first trip to the United States this fall and will take place the week before the country’s biggest event, the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals. Two of the most unique and exciting cities in the United States – New Orleans and Las Vegas – will provide the backdrops for what will be a memorable two weeks in the sport, ranging from the history and stories from Bourbon Street, to the bright lights and big dreams of the ‘Strip’.

It is with extreme excitement that the staff at Superkarts! USA announces the addition of a new program at this year’s SKUSA SuperNationals. Working in cooperation with MAXSpeed Group and the United States Rotax Max Challenge, and with a focus on promoting a celebration of karting in the fall of this year, SKUSA is officially announcing the addition of the Rotax Junior and DD2 classes to the SuperNationals XVII class line-up this November. SKUSA has also confirmed that they will be awarding the sport’s first tickets to the 2014 Rotax Grand Finals, as the winner in both the Rotax Junior and DD2 classes will win positions on their respective national teams for next year’s race.

EKN Trackside: SKUSA SuperNationals XVI - Sunday Report
Written by eKartingNews.com
Sunday, 25 November 2012 00:00
Only one day of the year is like today - SuperSunday at the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals presented by MG Tires. The atmosphere and excitement outside the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino was electric, as nine categories culminated a week’s worth of work around the temporary circuit, all to etch their name in the karting history books and earn a piece of the nearly $100,000 prize purse, all while crowning the 2012 SKUSA Pro Tour champions.

The SuperSunday quest for a SuperNats win and Pro Tour title commenced with the 42-kart TaG Senior field rolling on-course for a 25-lap run. Leading the talented field to the green were Dennis Olsen (Energy) and Austin Elliott (Top Kart), that, however, was the highlight of their race, as contact during the opening tour ended both racers chance at the victory. Having avoided the opening lap incidents, Joel Jens (Tony Kart) jumped into lead ahead of Scott Hargrove (Italkart), Kiel Spaulding (FA Kart), and Luke Chudleigh (Maranello). Unfortunately for the Canadian Chudleigh, the first of two incidents quickly halted his charge, ending his run prematurely. Out front, Jens made the most of a clear track to build a multi-kart advantage over Hargrove and the hard charging Gabby Chaves (Kosmic). Thanks to some fast laps, the distance between first and second steadily evaporated, culminating in Hargrove taking over the lead on lap six, with Chaves following him through into second. With Hargrove looking comfortable out front, Louie Pagano (Birel) became the driver to watch, slicing his way up to second and reeling in Hargrove. This ultimately led to a three-driver dice for the top spot. All three promptly took a turn out front.  Read full story on eKartingNews.com

EKN Trackside Live: SKUSA SuperNationals XVI - Saturday Report

Another beautiful day welcomed the competitors and fans of the SKUSA SuperNationals XVI outside the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. With weather a non-factor, the conditions were perfect for some solid racing in the nine categories taking part of the Pro Tour season finale. Both under the sun and the night lights, the racing was exciting and got the fans excited for the big show - SuperSunday main events. With grid places for the main events up for grabs, day three at the SuperNationals featured two more Heat races for all the classes.

First up were the morning classes (S4, S5, KZ2, and TaG Senior). Hitting the Rio parking lot course bright and early was the opening heat race featuring the S4 A vs. C groups. Bonnier Moulton (Tony Kart) and Eddie Olpin (Kosmic) led the field to the green and the duo held station through the opening stages of the 12 lap race. In fact, the order up front did not alter until the final lap, when Jordon Musser (Birel) executed a pass for the runner-spot to gain five more points then his championship rival Olpin. Behind the trio, Robert Marks (CRG) steadily worked his way forward, ultimately coming home in fourth, ahead of Emilio Padron (Tony Kart).  Read full story on eKartingNews.com
