Superkarts! USA Officially Addresses Findings Of Illegal And Deliberately Modified Engines From SuperNationals 21
Wednesday, 31 January 2018 16:25

At the heart of every competitor is the desire to win. Unfortunately, this desire sometimes leads some people to adopt a win-at-all-costs mentality, with some engine builders, parents, and drivers willing to sacrifice their ethics and their children's reputations. In turn, this mentality finds a partner and we end up having the nature and type of cheating found in the micro and mini classes last year - culminating in public and worldwide humiliation of child competitors at the 2017 SuperNationals in Las Vegas.

Superkarts! Usa Adds Micro Swift Prize Package To Skusa Winter Series Prize Pool
Tuesday, 30 January 2018 13:01

Superkarts! USA today confirmed a championship prize package for the 2018 SKUSA Winter Series and the IAME Micro Swift Category. The prizes are in addition to an unprecedented $75,000 prize pool, bringing the inaugural season total even higher.

"We know one of the most coveted prizes of the Winter Series is the trip to the IAME International Final in France," remarked SKUSA principal Tom Kutscher. Unfortunately, they just don't run Micro Swift at that race and it's left us perplexed on how to come up with something truly special for our youngest competitors."

Tuesday, 23 January 2018 11:25

Superkarts! USA is pleased to announce the ground-breaking confirmation that they are uniting with the International Kart Federation and will merge the historic national organization with the SKUSA family. SKUSA owner Tom Kutscher has been in talks with IKF management for some time, and the continuing evolution of the sport has paved the way for this new partnership. The IKF currently sanctions over 50 clubs, three regional series and four Grand Nationals in the United States and Canada. All effort will be made to keep business as usual, with the added horsepower of the Superkarts! USA staff aiding in future growth and stability. Current sanctioning will continue for 2018 as SKUSA evaluates any new approaches for the future. Memberships, track sanctioning and plans for Grand National events for 2018 will continue uninterrupted and further information will be made available soon.

Superkarts! USA launched the initial Florida Winter Tour in December of 1998, simply because Don Janowski and his son Joe didn’t want to stop racing in October when it got cold in the Midwest. The Florida gearbox program quickly gained supporters, which fueled momentum, and over the next handful of years, the program became the unofficial off-season racing series, run by Bill Wright. Fast forward a dozen years, and the Superkarts! USA brand made its return to the Sunshine State this past weekend, and it was a very successful homecoming at that. A packed paddock featured 220 entries, highlighted by full fields in Mini Swift, X30 Junior and X30 Senior. The racing was a little chaotic on Saturday, but things improved drastically on Sunday. On track, Dante Yu and Lorenzo Travisanutto topped the X30 Senior races, while Daniel Formal and Bill Musgrave split the S1 wins. With this event, the 2018 SKUSA competition season is underway.
