With the historical 25th edition of the SKUSA SuperNationals taking place this November, SKUSA are pleased to confirm what can only be described as an absolutely epic purse and prize package. To coincide with the 25th annual race, SKUSA have announced that both the Pro Shifter class as well as the X30 senior race will be competing each for a massive $25,000 purse. The breakdown is as follows for each respective class:
For BOTH X30 Senior and Pro Shifter

“Racing has never been inexpensive, and this is not lost on me,” explained SKUSA’s principal Tom Kutscher. “I realize now more than ever people are spending large amounts of money to compete at a high level. To commemorate our 25th SuperNationals and arguably our biggest race ever, we wanted to offer something legendary for this year’s event. We are pleased to offer a truly professional purse to both our flagship classes.”

With anticipation slowly building for this year’s 25th annual SKUSA SuperNationals, SKUSA have confirmed key dates for the November event. Discounted rooms for the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino will be available for reservation, beginning July 1st at 12:00 PM PDT. SKUSA have once again negotiated a special discounted rate for racers, with room rates as low as $50. In challenging economic times, SKUSA are committed to making the annual trip to Vegas as affordable and practical as possible.

Who said, ‘You can never go home again?’ In what can only be described as a full-circle announcement, Superkarts! USA has confirmed that the milestone 25th edition of the SKUSA SuperNationals will indeed be held at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino this November 16-20, 2022.
After a volatile 2021 that saw the event forced to relocate on very short notice, SKUSA and the executives at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino reconvened to address the remaining year on an existing multi-year contract.
“I’m pretty candid and honest – sometimes to a fault,” remarked SKUSA’s Tom Kutscher. “The thought of going back to the Rio after what occurred in 2021 was the last thing on my mind. But the truth is, there was still one year left on the current agreement that we had to reconcile. We sat down with the brass at the Rio and had a very frank discussion about what had occurred. As many can imagine, we weren’t keen on returning. That said, I would be lying if I didn’t admit that the event has always felt most at home at the Rio. And in fact, with the hotel having been recently sold by Caesars Entertainment, the new ownership was quite eager and enthusiastic to start fresh.”

Which race do you consider to be the greatest motorsports event in the world? Is it the 24 Hours of Le Mans? Perhaps, the Indy 500? Or, maybe you favor something more extreme, like the Isle of Man TT bike race or Pikes Peak Hillclimb? I would like to add a lesser-known event to the list of title contenders: The Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals.
This karting event in Las Vegas, Nevada annually provides high speed and high stakes. It is a collection of the world’s top motorsports drivers with varying agendas and equipment. These aren’t your local family fun center five-horsepower karts. No, these are lethal machines that pull big g-force numbers in the corners and high digits down the straights. Speed, history, prestige, and close competition–this race, like its well-known crown jewels counterparts, has it all, and I’ve know this for a while.
Fresh out of college, in the early 2000s, I worked for SKUSA and helped conduct some of the largest events in karting history. SuperNationals is widely regarded as the most prestigious karting event in the world. The race–and SKUSA, in general– have helped evolve karting into the professional motorsport that it is today. I hold them in such high regard but haven’t attended a SuperNat race since 2003. It took 746 days before SuperSunday returned as the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 24 was completed on Sunday, December 5 outside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. With the COVID-19 pandemic postponing the event in 2020, the ‘Mission Possible’ continued with the venue change just days before the December 1 opening day of on track session. SKUSA pulled off the 20-mile move to the LVMS property and enjoyed the new host hotel of Resorts World Las Vegas, welcoming 483 entries over the nine categories competing for the record books.
