Superkarts! USA Announces 2011 Pro Tour Schedule
Friday, 10 September 2010 10:15
On all accounts, the inaugural Superkarts! USA Pro Tour is being considering a great success by the organization, thanks to solid participation and incredibly exciting competition. SKUSA’s return to national series competition in 2010 materialized thanks to the passionate requests by many of their racers for more ‘big races’ – which fueled the development of the SpringNationals and SummerNationals. These two new events were then partnered with the famed SuperNationals to present a three-weekend (five-race) Pro Tour circuit for this year. With a limited number of classes, loads of track time and a focus on family fun and enjoyment, the inaugural Pro Tour has been extremely well received. Fast-forwarding to 2011, discussion regarding next year’s program began earlier in the season using feedback from racers, and SKUSA expects a significant increase in participation next year if the recent confirmations by new drivers, shops and teams are any indication. As a result, it is with excitement and high expectations that Superkarts! USA releases their schedule for the 2011 Pro Tour.

The season will begin with the second annual SpringNationals, set for the April 29 – May 1 weekend, which will be held once again at the Jim Russell International Karting Center at Infineon Raceway. The wine country region’s location just north of the beautiful city of San Francisco makes it a popular destination for racers and their families alike, and the facility is one of the most picturesque in the country. The fact that it’s simply one of the finest racetracks in the country makes it the perfect choice for the Pro Tour opener.

SUPERKARTS! USA ANNOUNCES THAT BRM WATCHES WILL BE THE OFFICIAL TIME KEEPER OF SUPERNATIONALS XIV.
Tuesday, 07 September 2010 10:42
If there’s one thing that goes hand in hand with any sport, it’s time. Winners and losers are decided by fractions of a second, and that were never truer than in competitive racing. Timepiece makers have long recognized the symbiotic relationship between the two, and virtually any sport in the world can speak of timekeeper affiliations.

For the 14th annual SKUSA SuperNationals, Superkarts! USA is pleased to announce a new partnership unique to the sport of karting with renowned French watchmaker: Bernard Richards Manufacture (BRM). The company has a vast relationship with motorsport, with numerous partnerships in both open wheel and prototype racing. The brand is synonymous with precision and excellence, offering a line of luxurious chronographs featuring precise automatic movement.

BRM has agreed to offer a handsome prize package for this year’s TaG Sr. and S4 race winners. Each will receive a one of a kind, custom-‐built commemorative watch to recognize their achievement. It’s a prize worthy of a SuperNationals win and has a retail value of approximately $5,000 USD.

Stock Moto Master Class Tops 60 for SKUSA SuperNationals XIV
Wednesday, 25 August 2010 08:19
It would be hard to argue the fact that this has been a tough year for the sport of karting. The economic issues that are facing the country have affected karting’s participation numbers all over the nation, which makes the current excitement surrounding the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals a potentially positive cap to the 2010 season. SKUSA is thrilled to announce that the continuing growth of the S4 Stock Moto Master category has demanded its expansion to a pair of race groups for this year’s SuperNationals, which will be held on the grounds of the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 17-21. After confirming that the S4 class had reached its 40-entry capacity back on August 10, SKUSA stated that it would begin adding new potential entrants to a waiting list. The response was rapid, as this list topped more than 20 drivers within a week. SKUSA will now be capping the S4 class at a maximum of 80 entries, and the current entry total in S4 is now over 60 entries (as wait listers were notified first). Furthermore, based on the fact that both TaG Senior and TaG Junior are expected to reach their capacity limits next, there will likely be no other class caps extended for this event, due to race day time constraints.

“It’s hard to express how great it is to see that so many ‘veteran’ drivers are excited about SKUSA and the S4 program,” admits Tom Kutscher, SKUSA president. “The moto shifter class was where I started with Superkarts! USA when I was racing, and I’m thrilled to see a full field for the SuperNationals. The big numbers are simply proving the quality and attraction of the Stock Moto program. I think this is also a little preview of what we’re going to see on the SKUSA Pro Tour circuit in 2011. The Tour is going to be big next year – and the S4 grid is going to be packed!”
