| Grange Motor Circuit to Host Third Round of ProKart Challenge South |

Now just a week away, the third round of the Superkarts! USA ProKart Challenge South program is set for the Grange Motor Circuit in Apple Valley, California. The 8/10-mile course will be the perfect site to continue the championship chases in the six-round championship, mixing in well with the opening round facilities of CalSpeed and Willow Springs. Within the program, the Stock Moto package continues to grow, thanks in part to the new internal ladder system developed by the Superkarts! USA organization – while the TaG competition has certainly earned praises with a diverse group of drivers and engine packages. To speak volume on the competitiveness of the series, no one driver in the 10 divisions has won back to back features. The headline S1 Pro Stock Moto category has seen Brett Felkins and Clinton Schoombee take the first two feature wins, though it is Tommy Thompson’s early consistency that has him earning the top spot in the standings thus far. The racing in TaG Senior has been like no other class, with stacked fields in the opening rounds. It is a battle of young up-and-comers against karting veterans; Kyle Shriver currently has the early edge over Larry Fraser and Phil Giebler – along with the rest of the field – with two strong podium performances. S4 Masters Stock Moto continues to be the domain of Jeff Littrell, a three-time SKUSA SuperNationals winner. After getting shut out in the opener at CalSpeed, Littrell pulled off a near perfect weekend at Willow Springs to vault him into the point lead over Wayne Mello and Willy Musgrave. Billy Musgrave shows the way in the S2 Semi-Pro Stock Moto division, riding off the opening round victory. Bryce Miller and round two winner Ryon Beachner will look to apply the pressure at Grange. The S3 class – Novice Stock Moto – continues to invite newcomers to the program as does the S5 category – Junior Stock Moto. Jason Attwood tops the point standings after two rounds in S3, while Matias Podboj holds the number one spot in S5 after earning his first feature win in Willow Springs. Four-time G1 champion PP Mastro is the early favorite in the championship chase, as he searches for a fifth title in six years. Unable to score a feature win, his two runner-up finishes have him at the top, with round two winner Roy Montgomery on his heels. Robert Morales is looking to knock Luke Bianco off the S4 Magnum pedestal, and is doing so thus far. Ron Rossetti controls things in TaG Master with a recent win, as he is being chased by Allan Svela and Kim Ryan. TaG Junior has Chris Cricca at the top of the standings, with a number of drivers set to challenge him at Grange. The third round of the six-race PKC South championship will begin on March 26 with a practice day, as on-track activities will take place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Race pre-registration is currently being accepted, with racers able to save $35 on their entry fee by submitting an entry prior to midnight on March 24. SKUSA memberships will be mandatory for the event, and forms are available on the SKUSA or ProKart Challenge websites. Pit spot reservations are also being accepted, and it is recommended to submit yours quickly as a strong turnout is expected. Camping and overnight parking of trailers on site will be permitted Thursday thru Saturday night at no charge. A host hotel will be selected shortly for those needing overnight accommodations.
